PALAWAN ESCAPADE: DAY3

DAY 3:
Feb, 22... It's already five o'clock in the morning... need to get up and prepare for our day 3 Palawan adventure... but I'm still sleepy and sobrang sakit ng katawan qoh kaka swim kahapon plus ung sunburn ang hapdi....eeeew! But I have to and I need to, no choice...ahaha... so rise and shine! I took a bath and had my continental breakfast, then we're off to the service van for our city tour! xD

First stop, Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm! yup.... it's a prison colony with a low security work farm. Over a thousand prisoners live and work around a central village square. Not to mention those prisoners who have been freed but still choose to stay and live in Iwahig  because of the living conditions. Prisoners are even welcome to bring their wives and children to stay with them... We took some pictures and bought some souvenirs that the prisoners made...Then we headed to our next stop...

Next stop, Crocodile Farm and Nature Park, which serves as the sanctuary of the Philippine crocodile that is endemic in our country.. When you get inside the main hall of the main building you'll see the skeleton of a huge sea water crocodile that is encased in a glass chest... And on the wall beside it hangs the skin of the said crocodile... A skeleton of a Sperm Whale is also displayed near the crocodile encasing... A few meters from the main hall, is the Hatchling House where crocodiles are taking cared...But a visit to crocodile farm is not limited to crocodile farming.. You can also check out other rare animals like the Nicobar pigeon, bearcat, the serpent eagle, parrots, talking myna and among others.

Then we went to the Baker's Hill... a bakeshop with a kid-friendly establishment .. When you get inside the complex you will see some funny fiber-glass statues, a mini zoo showcasing Palawan fauna, mini play ground and an extensive cactus and bonsai garden and nursery...

We then dropped by to the ranch of the late Cong. Ramon Mitra which is on the top of the hill and provided by a lovely view of Honda Bay...
It's already 1PM, when we had our quick lunch at Badjao Seafront Restaurant... The resto was built on the top of a mangrove habitat, features a nice view of the sea with its large open windows...
Then, we headed back to the hotel... to packed our things 'coz sad to say this ends our Palawan Adventure!! :'( ... Oh well, there's a saying nga all's well that ends well.... there's some other time pa naman eh.. hehe.. Ibang adventure naman and ibang place... And I'm looking forward for another out of town tour...xD

We arrived in Manila around five in the afternoon...and had a three or four hour ride from the airport to our house... Home at last! I so missed my bed... hehe....It was so tiring but it was, indeed a great tour!

GOODBYE PALAWAN!!! ^_^

"Knock... knock..." It's 6am, our tour guide was knocking in our room now... the service van is waiting downstairs.... yay! let's start the day now...xD

First stop... snorkeling and fish feeding at Honda Bay .... After a one hour ride, we reached the bay and from there we had our boat ride off to the island were we can do the snorkeling and fish feeding.... This time, gonna  wear my two-piece na...hahaha....(gudluck sakin) After wearing all the necessary snorkeling gear and a life vest, I'm ready to dive now... let's do this.. ahaha... A man approach us, he will assist us in our snorkeling... according to him we have to swim for about 5 meters to be in the snorkeling spot kung saan andun un mga corals.... but for those who can't swim, hihilahin na lang ng rope ng nag aassist.... I was about to do it na, but when i went down the water, sobrang lalim pala.... i know how to swim pero pag sobrang lalim na takot na aq.... ahahaha... and not to mention ung snorkeling gear na suot qoh... lalong nakaka suffocate, ang hirap huminga... so I decided not to go...:( and since my nephew was too young to do the snorkeling we just feed the fish na lang while my sister and her husband do the snorkeling that took about an hour....

Next stop, island hopping.....We headed first to the snake island where in we're going to stay until after lunch.... It's already nine in the morning when we have reached the snake island... weeee... time to swim... love it.... hehe! Then had our picnic lunch there..(super sarap ng food!) and swim.... swim... swim....again and again....I really love the beach.... lols! By 2pm , we had our boat ride and headed to the Pandan Island... and we swim `til the sundown...

After having an awesome day by the beach.. we went back to the hotel...had some rest for an hour or two...By seven, we went out and had our dinner at Ka Lui's resto... yummy food and great ambiance!...The very first resto i've been wherein you were able to remove your shoes or slippers... yup! you read it right, we're bare footing... as in sobrang polish ng floor hanggang comfort room... I so love the place!

Back to the hotel...It have been a very busy day for us...we're off to bed...good night! ^_^

OUCH.... SUNBURN ALL OVER MY BACK :'(

Feb. 20, 2011... 7am departure time.... we reached terminal 3 around 6am in the morning.... still have 1 hour to wait for the plane to arrive...While waiting, we spotted Derek Ramsey and I took a picture of him with my brother in-law... hehe... Oh, btw.... I'm with my sister, her husband and my nephew in this Palawan tour....
It's 7am already... "ding.. dong... the flight ...blah..blah..blah...will be delayed"..... demn!!! have to wait for a few more minutes....7:30 and now the plane arrived, atlast.... now heading to our plane... seat number 33...hehe....now, fasten your seat belt and we'll fly high!!!! whoa! it's my first time actually....ahahaha....di naman pala scary... sarap ng feeling...ahaha....ganda ng view..... ganda ng clouds...weeeee!!

9am  Puerto Princesa Airport arrival.... There's a white service van that picked up us in the airport and now we're heading to the Liberty Park Hotel kung saan kami mag stay for 3 days hehe... According to our tour guide, when we reached the hotel, we just have to leave our things there 'coz we are about to begin our Palawan adventure right away!!!...(may lakad ata tour guide namin, kaka baba lang ng plane, tour agad!! @_@)....

First stop, Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park .... it's a 2 hour ride from the hotel and a 30 minutes boat ride to reach the said place.... It's already 12 noon when reached the island wherein we have to ride on a boat that will bring us to the park... It's lunch time so we stop over the island first and have our picnic lunch...After ng isang nakakabusog na lunch we ride on a boat and headed to the park....

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.... The longest navigable underground river.. It's main attraction is an 8.2 kilometer that winds to a spectacular cave...At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water edge's... Monkeys, large monitor lizards and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave.. Once inside the cave, you'll see different stone formation.... From a vegetable stone formation to a Holy Family stone formation..You just need to widen your imagination to figure out what the stone formation is... Too bad, konting pic lang ma share ko kze naiwan sa hotel un isang cam, digicam un dala namin... and sobrang dilim sa loob... and bawal pa may flash ang cam... so di namin na picturan un magagandang stone formation kc sa pinaka loob na un and sobrang dilim...:'( But, enwei... indeed it's an awesome place for you to see... ^_^

After the amazing tour in subterranean river park, we had our early dinner at Balinsasayaw resto... a very nice resto and yummy food.. ^_^

After that, we went back to the hotel... need to rest na para sa aming 2nd day Palawan tour.. Call time 6am!?!?! whoa!!!! pero it's ok... sobrang nakakapagod ang day 1 but we all had a great day and besides wala pa kong tulog since kagabi...for sure bagsak ako sa kama nito...ahahaha... so that's end our Day 1 adventure...xD

LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR DAY 2 PALAWAN ADVENTURE!!!
